Spatial Imagery'coordinating a Whole-of-Government approach for access to Spatial Imagery'
The QSIC spatial imagery project promotes the value of spatial imagery for whole of government use and seeks agency support for whole of government acquisition of spatial imagery.
The focus of the project is coordinating the acquisition of imagery for whole of government use, and the development of a state-wide imagery acquisition program.
The spatial imagery project is also developing whole-of-Government (state, local and/or federal) licences under which spatial imagery can be purchased.
This will be written by the Queensland Spatial Information Office, in conjunction with the Department of Natural Resources and Water, as part of the new QSIC Business Environment and Licensing Arrangements.
The Spatial Imagery Working Group (SIWG) was established in October 2004 operating as a forum for spatial imagery users to discuss issues relating to the use of spatial imagery in Queensland.
